Gala Recap

The #GoodTroubleGala was amazing. Thank you to everyone who made the event a success, helping us “Carry On” Rep. John Lewis’ legacy. We had a stirring keynote by President Bill Clinton; remarks by our CEO Detria Everson and Board Chair Michael Collins; Kerry Kennedy, Sen. Jon Ossoff, Sen. Reverend Raphael Warnock and Rep. Nikema Williams; and a Good Trouble Talk with Leader Hakeem Jeffries moderated by Tharon Johnson.

We also gave our first-ever “Carry On” Award to Leader Jeffries.

Who didn’t love the Blind Boys of Alabama?

Dana Bash was our Host. Rev. Michele Hagans and Reverend Canon Leonard L. Hamlin, Sr. gave the Invocation and Rabbi Peter Berg gave the Benediction. John-Miles Lewis gave the Closing Remarks.
