The John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation sends its condolences to President Jimmy Carter and his family as they mourn the loss of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter,” said Board Chair Michael Collins. “Congressman John Lewis and Mrs. Lillian Miles Lewis greatly admired the partnership between President and Mrs. Carter. Mrs. Carter’s voice, vision and views were reflected in all President Carter accomplished. She was with him every step of the way. We are saddened by her loss and send our prayers and love to her family and friends around the world.
As a nation, if we care for the Beloved Community, we must move our feet, our hands, our hearts, our resources to build and not tear down, to reconcile and not to divide, to love and not to hate.
